Investing in Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is a topic of utmost importance and interest at this time. Over the last few years, cyber attacks and potential cyber risks have negatively impacted companies’ production, productivity, and revenues.

Finding cybersecurity solutions and adopting risk reducing practices have become a top priority for companies of all sizes.

Join us as we discuss trends in investment and financing for cybersecurity companies, as well as the evolving marketplace for this increasingly expanding industry.

Discussion will focus on a variety of topics:

-   The funding, investment, and competitive landscape for cyber-security startups, both emerging and mature
-   Forecasts for mergers and acquisitions,

Arvin Bansal, Director, Cyber, Data and Risk Governance, AmerisourceBergen

Arvin is a cybersecurity subject matter expert with proven ability to design, build, and implement global cybersecurity and risk programs for Fortune 30 firms, including Citigroup and Verizon. Arvin has received many honors with the most recent accolade from Information Week Elite 100 Award for building a leading edge cybersecurity program that is among the nation's most imaginative uses of business technology. Additionally, he received the 2018 Cloud Security Excellence Award for innovation in implementation of security. He is actively engaged in the industry events including BlackHat, RSA, DefCon, Gartner Security & Risk Management Summits, Evanta CISO events, T.E.N. awards, and has presented in various security, technology and business forums. Arvin received his MBA in finance from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He holds multiple risk and security certifications including CISSP, CISM, CISA, ITIL v3, OSA, RCV and PMI PMP.

Jason Bevis, Vice President, Worldwide Strategic Services at Cylance Inc.
Jason is an executive with extensive experience in cybersecurity consulting, product management and product engineering. Jason has both advised and held CISO and CTO rolls during his 20+ year career. He has extensive experience in global strategic solutions enabling customers across all industries. He has been deeply involved in incident response, security program management, risk quantification and helping organizations build comprehensive security operations and management practices. He is currently responsible for Cylance’s strategic consulting solutions and Threatzero prevention solutions.

Jason Kaufman, President of The Chertoff Group
The Chertoff Group is a premier global advisory firm that focuses exclusively on the security and risk management sector by providing business strategy, risk management, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory services to clients seeking to secure and grow their enterprises. Ori Lapidot, CEO, Emergynt Network Defense
Ori Lapidot is a visionary with entrepreneurial energy, excellent business acumen and ingenious creativity. Mr. Lapidot is adroit at tailoring practical, turn-key business solutions that drive exponential revenue while simultaneously minimizing ongoing operational costs. Ori initiated his entrepreneurial career in the warranty space by establishing a warranty company in Latin America. He has spent over two decades in the insurance industry and served on the Board of Directors of several companies. He was also Global Managing Director at Assurant Solutions, with responsibility for their global market expansion. Throughout his career, he has established thriving insurance entities in sixteen countries on 4 continents.

Ben covers banking and fintech. Previously he was the chief business reporter at HuffPo, and before that an online editor and business writer at Reuters. Ben began his journalism career at Business Insider after working for five years at Goldman Sachs.
