 SUSTAINABLE CITIES SPOTLIGHT: SNEAK PREVIEW!

Featuring an expert-panel discussion exploring waste management both from a sustainability and business perspective. Networking lunch included.  The event is limited to 40 people! Pre-registration is required.

Witness the incredible sights of the Hamilton Avenue Marine Transfer Station (MTS).
The facility is slated to open late 2017 – Come get a sneak peek!

The Department of Sanitation’s Hamilton Avenue MTS will be the transfer point for household waste from ten Brooklyn community boards. This brand new facility is a key part of the city's 20-year Solid Waste Management Plan.

On this 60-minute tour, DSNY guides will explain how innovative environmental technologies and architectural sensitivities come together to create a state-of-the-art infrastructure. Learn the surprising intricacies of municipal waste management with a tour of this complex and cavernous space.  Bring a camera, the tour will reveal the incredible infrastructure of the Hamilton Avenue Marine Transfer Station.

ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION ON WASTE MANAGEMENT  -  The roundtable will be open to all. Moderator and speakers will provide the framework for discussion that will lead into the network lunch.
