PORTFOLIO COMPANY OPERATIONS AND PRIVATE EQUITY RETURNS

The credit crisis and recession have put a renewed spotlight on the operational performance of private equity portfolio companies. Our panelists will discuss steps to improve that performance.
Event Date: Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 at 6:00pm

The credit crisis and recession have constrained financing options and lowered market multiples, creating difficulties with existing investments as well as opportunities.  Private equity firms can no longer rely on the financial markets to generate returns and are focusing instead on maintaining and improving the operational performance of their portfolio companies.

The panel will seek to answer:
• What steps can be taken to improve the performance of portfolio companies?
• What changes, if any, will this renewed focus on operational excellence have on the structure of private equity deals and returns expectations?

Who would benefit from attending the event?
• Private equity, venture capital and other alternative asset investors looking for suggestions on managing and improving the performance of their portfolio companies.
• Gatekeepers, pension fund managers and advisors that want to know what role operational improvement can play in private equity returns.
• Anyone seeking a greater understanding of private equity or company operations.

The panel includes representatives from some of the most respected players in the industry. CBS alumni are well represented in this industry and on our panel. Please join us to get their perspective on this important topic.
